Hello! I've got some fabulous glitters to show you today from Models Own. Just in time for the party season, they've created five fabulous new colours for a new GlitterGel collection.
The collection contains Crystal Pink, Petunia Glitz, Red Carpet, Starburst and Sheer Sparkle - a colour to go with every look! Similar to the current HyperGel collection, these polishes promise long-lasting chip free wear - a salon manicure without the hassle or the cost.
So, let's take a closer look. Starting with Crystal Pink. This is a lovely baby pink glitter. Now the forumla on this one is quite sheer, but in all honesty I suspect the aim is for it to be more of a topper over a french manicure, to add some sparkle, however I decided to layer up to wear it on it's own, which took four coats (not bad too be honest) - completely worth it for the WOW SPARKLES! that you get.
So very pretty and delicate and sparkly. Love this.
Next, we move on to Petunia Glitz - a rich pink shade.
This was a really opaque formula and only required two coats. A really lovely pink shade.
Next up is Red Carpet. A glamourous red with a glittery twist.
Lovely application, and dries to a really beautiful glitter shimmer. This is two coats of Red Carpet.
Next we have Starburst. This is a black base packed full of multi-colour glitters.
I think this may be my favourite of the bunch, it dries to a beautiful glossy shine, and the glitter is so pretty. This is two coats.
Finally we have Sheer Sparkle. This is a really pretty gold base full of gold glitter.
Very delicate and pretty and a perfect shade for your Christmas party. This is three coats. Again, this one is a bit sheerer, and I think one-coat over a french manicure would look lovely.
So - what do you think? I really like this new collection, Starburst is my stand out favourite at the moment, but I think they are all good shades for the party season.
So fancy getting your hands on these pretty colours? They are available on www.modelsownit.com, in Models Own bottleshops and in Superdrug now. Each polish is priced £4.99.
