Nailbox - Monthly nail polish box

Monday, 8 June 2015

Hello! I'm really excited to show you my post and swatches today as I've got another box to show you from new monthly nailbox subscription service from www.nailbox.co.uk. This is incredibly exciting news as this is the opportunity to get a monthly delivery of beautiful seasonal shades of mainstream polish brands, which I don't think we've got going on anywhere else at the moment in the UK. WHOOP!

So, whats the score? Each month, nailbox will send 4 full size polishes and an additional nail care item. You can choose to subscribe for a full year, and pay £13.50 per box (delivery included) or buy on a monthly basis for £15 a month (delivery included). I love the idea of getting a box of pretty polishes delivered to me each month!

Nailbox - Monthly nail polish box

So, what is in this months box?
  • Tanya Burr - Mischief Managed
  • Nails Inc - Colville Mews
  • Essie - Roarrrrange
  • Seche Vite top coat
  • Elegant Touch cuticle trimmers
The box comes packed with polystyrene packaging, so the polishes are really safely packaged, and it was like a lucky dip pulling them out, which was fun!

Starting off with Essie - Roarrrrange.  This is a gorgeous fruity orange shade, and I'm a sucker for a rich orange, so this is right up my street!

This applies beautifully and dries to a lovely high shine; this is two coats of Roarrrrange.

Next we have Nails Inc - Colville Mews.  This is a gel effect polish, in a lovely soft beige shade.

I was impressed at how quickly this dried and the lovely high shine it gave.  Two coats of Colville Mews here.

Next we have Tanya Burr - Mischief Managed.  This isn't a brand I had tried before, so I was interested to try it out!

This is a lovely rich red shade, and was opaque in two coats.  I was quite impressed as I often find reds seem to need quite a few coats, but not the case with this polish.  And look at the shine!

Finally, onto the Seche Vite.  Now, strangely,I have never tried out this top coat before!  I generally always stick with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri as it's easy for me to get hold of, so I was intrigued to try out this cult-classic!

I decided to use all three other colours to create some nail art, and I chose polka dots as the pattern just to test/prove whether the top coat would smudge the design or not, and as you can see, we have a winner!  I was really impressed with the Seche, I'll certainly be using this for the foreseeable future!

So, what do you think?  I'm really impressed.  It's so nice to receive a combination of different brands, and on the high end side of what you can get on the high street.  The price of the box definitely makes these polishes a bargain as a collection.
