A while ago I posted up a couple of manicures which I referred to as "gradients that didn't make the grade". These were manicures that basically, I'd done a gradient, meant to do some nail art over the top, and then never got round to it. Anyway, I have another couple to show you today. These were gradients I did ages ago that have just sat here, waiting to be posted, so I thought I'd give them a little outing today.
First off, we have a blue, turquoise and green gradient. I really love this colour combination, and I decided this time to start with a dark colour at my base (I generally go from light to dark) and I think this worked pretty well (does make clean up a bit harder though!). This probably would have looked great with some leopard print over the top.
And here's another gradient using colours from the other side of the rainbow. This was a pale yellow and orange gradient. I love this kind of colour combination, and I do it a lot, so I don't know why I did it and then never did any nail art with it, but hey ho!
And there you go. A couple of manicures that didn't quite make the grade. Anyway, if you are looking for any hints and tips for getting your gradient great, I did a tutorial a while ago that you can find here.
