Laquerdaisical - Purple Phase

Thursday, 13 February 2014

Hello!  I've got another pretty from Laquerdaisical to show you today.  This is Purple Phase.  Purple Phase is a lovely deep purple/mauve that is also a thermal polish - so changes colour dependent on the warmth fof your hands.

So, let's look at Purple Phase when hands are cold (which is pretty much my default setting at the moment! haha!).  This is quite a sheer polish so I think it's also perfect for layering over another colour (more coming up!)  Very pretty colour.

So, get some heat going on and look!  How pretty is this?  Like a gradient without the hassle, right?  The polish changes to a paler purple/pink colour when your hands heat up.

So, I had a thought.  How's about some nail art underneath that only pops out as your hands heat up?

I went for a lilac base, and added some polka dots using a dark purple polish and then topped the lot with two coats of Purple Phase and this is what you get.  Pretty fun!

You could probably get a cool effect too, using Purple Phase to polka dot your nails over a base colour and have your spots changing colour!

  1. I love the idea of (dis)appearing nail art - it's so simple, yet I never would have thought of that :D !
