SpaRitual - Gratitude

Saturday, 30 November 2013

Hello!  I've got swatches of a lovely new polish from SpaRitual's Odyssey collection.  This is Gratitude.

So, firstly, let me tell you a bit about SpaRitual Polishes.

•    Vegan Nail lacquer – they use mica for their shimmers rather than guanine (fish scales)
•    5-free – free from DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor
•    Bottles designed by Ferrari
•    Bottles made from recycled glass and are also recyclable with care
•    Caps made from a special type of rubber to allow ease of opening and perfect grip for best application results
•    72 permanent colours with between 4-6 seasonal collections released each year

Odyssey features a collection of matte finish polishes, and this one is a stunner.  It kind of reminds me a lot of the suede type finish polishes that have come out this year.  Gratitude is a gorgeous coppery gold colour, this polish applies beatuifully and dries really quick.  It's also really opaque, so this only needed two coats.

Also, just for the purpose of comparison - matte finish not your thing?  Look how pretty Gratitude is with some top coat added!

33 Day Challenge - Day 30 - Same pattern, different colours

Friday, 29 November 2013

Hello!  The theme for the 33 Day Challenge today is "same pattern, different colours" and I've gone for a pretty straight forward design.  I painted my nails with some pastel green, blue and purple shades, and then added a polka dot pattern to each of my nails using a slightly darker shade.

I then finished this off with a little diamante at the base of each nail.

33 Day Challenge - Day 29 - Favourite Pattern

Wednesday, 27 November 2013

Today is Day 29 of the Crumpet's Nail Tarts 33 Day Challenge and the theme for today is your FAVOURITE PATTERN.  Now; I'm sure I'm not going to be alone with my choice today of leopard print!

Whenever I'm stuck for an idea, I always revert to a good ol' gradient covered in leopard print.  I love this pattern.  This time I went for peach and pink as a base gradient, I love this colour combination.  (Also; if you want to check out a tutorial for creating this look, there's one here).

SHIMMER - Jasmine

Tuesday, 26 November 2013

Hello!  I've got another lovely polish to show you today, from Shimmer polish.

So!  The polish I've got to show you today is Jasmine.  Jasmine looks in the bottle like it is mainly an aqua blue and silver glitter, however it's also got some bronze and red glitter in there too, it's a lovely mix, in a clear base.

I decided to just put one coat of Jasmine over a gradient, just to show it off in a subtle way, and look at how flipping pretty it is!  Sparkle, sparkle!  Lovely.  It kind of looks like the ocean!

Shimmer Polish grew out of Cindy's home in Orange County.  Cindy's polishes are named after her wonderful friends and family. Each and every name has an important significance to her. Each shade of Shimmer is inspired by Cindy's friends; from favorite colors, things that remind her of that person, and even personal requests from these great ladies. Each and every one of the Shimmers have shaped and influenced her to become who she is today; this her way of thanking them for being in her life.
