Gradients that didn't make the grade...

Saturday, 19 October 2013

Hello!  I've got a bit of a gradient party for you today.  Sometimes, I do a gradient with the intention of then doing some nail art over the top (leopard print, polka dots, that kind of thing) and then I never get round to it, due to my bad schedule planning requiring something else to be done instead, and these manicures usually fall by the wayside and don't get posted.  Anyway, I decided that I'd show these two manicures to you all anyway, as there's nothing wrong with them, I just never finished them off with another design over the top.

First we have a sunset style gradient.  I did have plans of palm trees and the like, but then I remembered I've done that a few times and it's not particularly original.  However I LOVE THE COLOURS on this, they go together great.  So I will probably do this again soon and think of something to jazz it up with afterwards.

Next we have a yellow/green gradient that I did have intentions of doing some kind of tribal design over the top, but never did.  Sorry yellow/green gradient!

And there you go.  A couple of manicures that didn't quite make the grade.  Anyway, if you are looking for any hints and tips for getting your gradient great, I did a tutorial a while ago that you can find here.

  1. Both gradients are perfect but this sunset is awesome! Gradients look very nice even with no naiart added!

  5. Prettiest gradients I've seen *_* I have to try this too
Hahaha oh gee, yeah, it happens to me too that I do the base and simply have no time for a proper nail art. But sometimes, in this case especially, it's as beautiful as it is without anything on top ;)
