Well, I hope you are already for a mammoth swatchathon, as I've got tons of lovely polishes to show you today... Charlie from Pocket Money Polishes has been at it again creating some lovely glittery polishes and today I'm going to show you some polishes from her September collection, which will be available to purchase on September 1st...
So the first pretty I've got to show you is called Brown Eyed Girl and was inspired by lots of things including coffee
and trashy reality tv. This polish is packed with glitter – caramel, chocolate brown, dark berry, gold
holo and neon pink squares. I layered this over Models Own Beetlejuice as I thought I'd start off by seeing how these polishes look with a more autumnal feel, I think this'll look great over a beige/nude type polish too. I really love, love, love the colour combination here.
Next we have Eye of the Tiger This is mixed matte orange glitters, matte black stars and brilliant gold holo glitter. I put this over Models Own Copper, and I love the effect, it reminds me of Halloween!
I also put Eye of The Tiger over a red polish originally, but I didn't get the shades quite right as I've managed to block out the lovely orange glitter. But hey! I did it and photographed it so you can see it anyway...
Heart of Glass is named after the Blondie classic. This was going to be released in August but it didn’t really fit in with the rest of the polishes. It
has definitely found a place in the metallic mixes of September Sparkle although
it does remain a little bit of a rebel. I layered this Models Own Champagne... I'm not a massive fan of shard-like glitter as I often find it hard to get it to lay flat, but this is a nice mix, and kind of looks a bit graffiti like as a topper, so pretty cool!
Next we have - This is the Life - this
song is probably not as well known as most of Charlie's choices but it's a song
by Amy McDonald that her and her sister and love singing along to. This is metallic purple and
fuchsia with black holo sparkle in a fairly dense glitter mix topper. I put this over a bright pink and I flipping looovvvvvve it!
Next we have California Dreaming which is inspired by the classic Mammas and
Pappas song – a perfect autumn song... and I've definitely got that earworm now! This is a lovely mix of red, yellow and orange glitters which I put over Barry M Guava and it works perfectly. Flipping love this too.
Finally, we have Angels... This is bright matte
white dots, small white hex and iridescent bars, this is the ying of two
polishes (the yang being Forever which is the black version of this polish). I decided to do a yellow/pink/blue gradient to show it off, and I think perhaps I should have gone a bit darker as I haven't fully captured all the glittery goodness, but this one is definitely a winner. CUTE.
So what do you think? I think this is another lovely glittery versatile collection... It's a toss up between This Is The Life and California Dreaming for my favourite.
The September Collection will go on sale on September 1st priced at £4 each for a 5ml bottle. Each polish will be hand mixed to order and are 3-free. Head over to Pocket Money Polishes to place an order!
