Gradients and polka dots

Sunday, 4 August 2013

I do love a good gradient and polka dot combination, I've been doing quite a few of these recently.  This time I decided to mix up the polka dots and go for a half moon design at the base of my nail using different size dots.

For this manicure I started off with a gradient (tutorial here) using Barry M Limited Edition Yellow, Barry M Mango, Sinful Colors Timbleberry and Sinful Colors Fig.  I then used dotting tools and Sinful Colors Snow Me White to add does around the base of my nail, and then I put on a few pink rhinestones to finish the look off.

  2. Gorgeous! I've been meaning to work more with vibrant gradients lately, it was actually in my plan for my next nail art :) They're so versatile, aren't they? You can stamp over them, you can draw on them, you can do a tape mani with them, anything :D

I especially love this color combo- perfect for late summer!
