Nail art with Models Own Pink Blush and Champagne

Friday, 14 June 2013

Hello!  It's Friday!  That makes my heart rejoice!  Wheeeeeeeee!  So today, I have a bit of nail art to show you.  Littlewoods.com nail care have asked me to create them some nail art designs using some Models Own nail polishes they've very kindly provided me with and I've got three designs to show you today using a couple of the polishes.

So the first design I've got to show you is quite a simple one.  I painted my nails a base colour of Models Own Pink Blush, and then once it was dry, I placed some strips of striping tape across my nails, and used tweezers to hold onto a bit of ripped up make up sponge and dabbed Models Own Champagne over the tips of my nails.

Once this was dry, I quickly ripped off the striping tape, top coated then added some studs onto my nails.  Pretty straightforward design but looks quite effective.

The next manicure I've got to show you is a gradient.  Now, I do love doing gradients, but I normally stick to cream polishes for these, but I was interested to see how mixing a creme and a metallic polish would work out.

I used Models Own Strawberry Tart, Pink Blush and Champagne over a white basecoat.

Obviously, as beautiful as a gradient looks, we all know I'm not going to leave it alone!  So I thought polka dots and bows would be the perfect addition.

So what do you think?  I'm loving these colours.  Pink Blush is a lovely shade of pink and applies beautifully (opaque in two coats) and Champagne is a lovely unusual pale gold colour.
