China Glaze Neon On The Shore Collection - Swatches

Friday, 26 April 2013

Hello!  I've got some swatches today from the new China Glaze Neon On The Shore Sunsational Collection which I bought from Nail Polish Direct (I can't recommend these guys enough by the way, delivery is free and super quick!).

I've got four polishes from this collection to show you today; Too Yaucht To Handle, Sun Of A Peach, That's Shore Bright and Keeping It Teal.  For all these polishes I started with a white base coat, to ensure that the colour popped out...

First up is Too Yaucht To Handle.  This is two coats over a white base.  This is a really nice creme polish and was pretty much opaque in one coat, so I was pretty impressed with this.   I would say though, it's pretty much an exact dupe for Barry M Greenberry (in fact, I think I think I prefer Greenberry, there's more of a pop to the colour).

This is Sun of a Peach.  Again, thick creme formula and two coats over white.  I love this colour!  It's really bright and fun, and I think it'll be an ace summer colour.

Next up is That's Shore Bright.  This is two coats over a white base.  I love this colour too.  It's nice and bright and really unusual, again, perfect summery colour.

Finally, Keeping it Teal.  Ok, this one was a BERLUDDY nightmare.  This is without a doubt a jelly polish, rather than a creme, as it was so disappointingly thin.  This is FIVE coats (I kid you not!) over white, and the pictures have actually been quite forgiving.  It still looked pretty streaky in real life after five coats, and again, very similar to Barry M Greenberry, but not as nice.  I will try and use it for a jelly sandwich at some point, but compared to the other polishes I bought, this one was pretty disappointing.

So, what do you think?  I'm not fussed on the greens, but the purple and peach are definitely winners for me.

    1. It's a lovely colour, but so much hard work, I'd go for Barry M Greenberry instead x
