Barry M Nail Art Pens - a few more ideas

Wednesday, 17 April 2013

Hello!  Last week I showed you the berluddy fabulous new nail art pens from Barry M.  Well I've been having a little mess around with them again, and I am still totally in love with these bad boys!  So I've got a few designs to show you today.

First off, this is a really simple design, inspired by the Wizard of Oz.... I painted my nails a base colour of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and used the Black nail art pen to draw on black stripes.  I then did a few accent nails using Barry M Red Glitter.  Easy peasy, and didn't take long at all to do.

One thing I am so pleased about with these pens is that they dry SO QUICKLY.  I've topcoated pretty soon afterwards and no smudging what so ever.  GOOD TIMES!

Next, I decided to go for a more complicated sunset / palm tree look.  I did a pink / orange / yellow gradient using Sinful Colors Folly (pink), 2true Bright Orange and Sinful Colors Let's Meet (yellow) and used the black nail art pen to draw on the shade of a palm tree onto my nails.  I also used OPI Metallic 4 Life (Nicki Minaj collection) to add some sparkle in there.  Malibu nails!

And this one is a little bit silly, but hey, if you ever want some sheep on your nails, these pens are a winner! Hahahaha.....  I used Sinful Colors Pistache (green) and Be Happy (blue/green) for this manicure.

So, what does everyone else think of these pens?  I'm really pleased that they weren't a one-use-wonder, as I was worried they wouldn't work properly after numerous goes, but I'll keep my eye on how long they do last.   I am loving how easy it is to get fine lines on nail art though.  Amazing!
