Invogue Feathers Effect - Swatches

Tuesday, 26 March 2013

Squeee!  I've got some exciting swatches to show you today!  Invogue is a brand new range of polish that has recently been launched, and you can currently buy these polishes in Superdrug. Invogue Polishes are also available from ohbeauty.co.uk. I've picked myself up a few of these polishes and the first batch I am going to show you are their Feather Effect polishes.

Now, Nails Inc launched a similar range a few months ago, but these are far more affordable at £3.95 a bottle.  I'm not normally a fan of bar glitter but I thought I'd give these a go anyway.

There are four polishes in this range; On The Money (green), Jaye Bird (Blue), Parakeet (multi) and Sunset (peach).  Overall, these polishes all need a base colour (to save having to coat layers and layers to go opaque), however they are pleasingly quick drying.  Also, be wary that you might get the odd strand hanging over then of your nail, I just poked these back on / off before the polish had dried.

First up is On The Money,  This is a clear base with very fine strands of green, yellow and blue glitter.

This is two coats on On The Money layered over Barry M Gelly Hi Shine - Greenberry.

Next, we have Jaye Bird.  This is a clear base with very fine strands of blue and white glitter.  I really love this colour combination, it's so unusual.

I layered three coats of Jaye Bird over Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream.

So, what do you think?  I was pleasantly surprised by these polishes (given my strand glitter hate!) and I love that they are a matte finish rather than sparkly, it makes them a bit difference.  And, again, it's lovely to see a new AFFORDABLE brand on the market for us in the UK, so at the moment Invogue is getting a massive thumbs up from me.

Stay tuned over the next few days as I've also put their Suede Effects and High Res Glitter to the test.

    1. It is lovely, I reckon they are pretty adaptable dependant on the base colour you use.

  4. Pretty! I like that you did them all over different bases instead of being lazy like me and doing them all over the same one. :D

    1. I probably should have top coated them all too but I was running a tight ship, lol. They really look different dependant on the base colour, I'm going to try different colours underneath I think x

  6. Your swatches are amazing - what gorgeous nails! :)
The polishes look lovely and I do live this kind of 'glitter' myself, especially if they dry matter - awesome!
