Collection Cosmetics Easter Nail Art

Thursday, 21 March 2013

Collection Cosmetics recently got in touch to let me know they were having an Easter Nail art competition, and although it was ridiculously short notice, I'm never one to back down from a challenge, so today Easter has exploded over my nails.

I love Collection polishes, they are a brilliant budget brand, they apply beautifully and are really quick drying(and I love how I can "accidentally" chuck a couple in my trolley when I go food shopping!).  For this manicure, I have gone all out and used SIXTEEN Collection Polishes, which I will list for you!  The only colours I had to use other polishes for were the bright yellow and the pale blue, as Collection don't have these colours available (yet?!)

So, here is a breakdown of what polishes I used.  I started off all my nails with a base of French Manicure White, as I was doing gradients on all my nails (tutorial here).  I then used various sized dotting tools to create the nail art, and I also made a dry water marble sticker Easter Egg, and then used some diamantes to bling things up.

Chick Nail:  Gradient of Fruit Loop, Bright Lights, Fruit Salad and Neon Art.   Eyes with French Manicure White and Liquorice.  Feathers on head with Big Hair.

Rabbit Nail: Gradient of Look At Me, Hidden and BMX Bandit.  Rabbit with French Manicure White, Shadow for eyes and mouth and Hoola Hoop for ears.

Egg Nail: Grass with Look At Me, Hidden and Electric Dreams.  Dry water marble egg with Candy Floss, Fruit Loop and Neon Art.  Dots on egg with BMX Bandit.

Flower Nail: Grass with Look At Me, Hidden and Electric Dreams.  Flowers with Siren and Go Retro.
