Valentine's day themed nails continue...

Thursday, 7 February 2013

Hello!  Continuing on with some more Valentine's themed nails for you today, although this one is quite subtle (read: didn't turn out quite as expected - more on that in a bit though!).

So my lovely friend Lyndsay from Pie's Eye's is always sending me little bits and bobs through the post, and she sent me some stickers a while back and I hadn't got round to trying them out yet.  I noticed there were some hearts amongst the selection and thought; BOOM!  Valentines Day nails! and decided to give them a go.

So, I painted my nails with a basecoat of Collection Cosmetics White, then I sponged on a gradient of Collection Cosmetics Hoola Hoop and Barry M Limited Edition Pink.  I then put some stickers on, which because I really didn't think this through, are practically the same colour as my mani so you can't really see them that well (hence the "subtle" description of the manicure).  So this didn't really work that well this time, but I am going to try them again with a better choice of colours I think!

  4. This is such a gorgeous pink glitter gradient! I actually really like how similar in color the stickers are to the base.

  6. This is my favourite Valentines mani so far! You are amazing at the Gradient & I actually think the stickers go perfectly with the colours, the subtlety makes them look classy, whereas I'm not sure it would have the same effect if they stood out more. Well done! xxx
