Pink Velvet Manicure

Thursday, 29 November 2012

Today I had a little go at a velvet manicure, just on the one finger on each hand.  I bought some flocking powder from eBay and decided to give it a go.  Basically, you paint your nail as close a colour to the flocking powder, apply a top coat and then use tweezers to apply flocking powder to the nail.  Press it down slightly with your fingers, then once it is dry, brush off the excess.  I actually think it looks quite cool, and lasted surprisingly longer than I expected (not like them berluddy caviar beads!).  The other nails I painted a bright pink and added some heart shaped sequins, so overally this is quite a girly fluffy manicure.

    1. Well I do change my polish every day ;-) but it lasted fine, especially considering my relentless hand washing tendencies :OCD:
MUCH better than those berluddy caviar beads, I've usually lost them to my bed sheets over night :D
