Mexican Sugar Skulls

Monday, 19 November 2012

I saw these Mexican Sugar Skulls on Try My Hand's blog a couple of months ago and knew I needed to give them a go.  I am a big fan of using fimo canes and hadn't done so for a while so thought these would be ideal.

I painted all my nails with a base colour of white, and then used a dotting tool to complete the details.  I then used superglue (I usually just fix fimo canes on with top coat, but I wanted these to last) to attach fimo canes and then diamantes onto the top.

    1. They are only small (maybe 2/3mm?) and they aren't self stick, I stuck these onto the fimo canes using superglue, but if you are sticking them onto your nails, they'll set fine in a topcoat. You can buy diamante wheels from eBay pretty cheap. x
