Day 18: HALF MOONS (30 Day Challenge)

Tuesday, 18 September 2012

For the challenge today (HALF MOONS) I decided to go for a purpley manicure, and use some stickers/diamantes to jazz it up a bit.  My "half moons" are probably a little bigger than they should be, but I'm not sure I am really a fan of them being really small at the base of the nail.

In order to get the half moon onto my nails, I painted a base coat of No 7 Violetta, which is a really rich deep purple colour.  I made sure that the base of the nail was covered properly, but didn't worry too much about the ends as this is going to be covered.  I then used hole reinforcers which my lovely friend D sent to me (hello!).  Make sure your nails are completely dry before putting them on, otherwise they'll life the polish off when you take them off.

I then painted my second colour which is an OPI sample that I don't have the name for (well, it has the helpful description of 018 on the bottom, and google is throwing up no help)

After this, I peeled off the reinforcers (once completely dry) and then I stuck on some lacey type stickers, and a diamante in the centre of them.

    1. I've continued to scoot around for a name and I suspect it's a fake! But hey ho, it's a lovely colour!
