Day 14: FLOWERS (30 Day Challenge)

For the FLOWERS challenge, I decided that I wanted to veer away from doing something pink and girly, and was looking through my drawers and found some leftover foil stickers and decided to incorporate black and gold into the mani.

Now, I'm not a massive fan of foil stickers on my nails, I find the matt design ones are great, as they seem to apply so much better, any with a metallic shine to them tend to wrinkle up a lot more and you can see the imperfections.  With these, I'd done a gold mani with them last year and had some left over, so I thought it'd put them to good use.

To stick these on, I make sure my nails are clean, and stick directly onto my nail, smoothing the middle first, and then down the sides.  I then use a hair dryer on a low heat to set them on, as I think that helps the glue to melt a bit onto the nails.  I then use a file to file the ends off the stickers, and then clear top coat on top.

After I had done this, I painted my leftover nails Kiko Black, and stamped flower patterns on using Barry M gold foil and my Bundle Monster plates.  On the gold nails, I used some black flower stickers, and some pink diamantes to jazz it up.  I took some photos in the dark with a black background, as I think this helps to show the shine going on.
